Animal Farm

Sept. 29 - Oct. 2 at The Rose Theater (Hitchcock Stage)

A group of farm animals drive out their master and take over the farm for themselves.  The experiment is successful, except that someone has to take charge.  Leadership falls upon the pigs, who are the cleverer than the rest of the animals.  Unfortunately, their character is not equal to their intelligence.  Using authentic animal costumes from The Rose Theater stock, this play will prove to be a true animalistic experience for the teens!

Tickets: Teens ‘N’ Theater show tickets are $6 each and available through The Rose Box Office at (402) 345-4849 or at the door on the day of show.  Teens ‘N’ Theater show tickets are not available online.

  • Notes from the Director

Animal Farm is one of those classic stories that hopefully many people are familiar with by now. Michael and I discussed that, in addition to being able to use the Rose’s supply of endless animal costumes, this would be a great chance for teenagers to have a lot of fun exploring these memorable, literary characters.

It was also yet another opportunity for students from all over the area – west, north, south, east, to come together and tell one of the most allegorical stories in quite some time. We hope you have a fun time watching the hard work of these great students today!

Special thanks to all the parents for the rides to and from The Rose and Long live Animal Farm!

Directors Mike (Wilhelm) and Mike (Harrelson)
