Bringing Literature To Life

This workshop uses statue work, pantomime, and characterization to explore literature the class is currently reading such as Dr. Seuss, Where the Red Fern Grows, etc.  These techniques allow students to explore through drama the characters, locations, situations, emotions, and experiences within the stories.

Playwriting
•   Best for grades 4-12
•   $60/instructor (per in-class hour)

This workshops introduces students to playwriting.  Students will learn proper format, dramatic structure, character development, and much more!

History Through Drama
•   Best for grades 1-8
•   $60/instructor (per in-class hour)

This workshop uses statue work, pantomime and characterization to explore specific periods in history that relate to the students’ current studies such as the American Revolution, Lewis and Clark Expedition, Civil War, etc.

Meet The Actor in You
•   Best for grades K-8
•   $60/instructor (per in-class hour)

This workshop introduces students to the artistic elements associated with theater.  Students will learn about acting, directing, playwriting, and design.  At the end of the week, the class will create and present its own short play.
