Celebrating its 25th anniversary,Sandra Cisneros's "The House on Mango Street"—a foremost classic of Chicano literature—peers into the life of a 12-year-old Mexican-American girl growing up in the Latino quarter of Chicago. In this production, Esperanza Cordero poetically reflects on her vivid physical and emotional trials growing up on Mango Street.
Important mature themes may not be suitable for children under age 12. Please note that parental guidance is highly recommended.
Interpretation for the hearing impaired will be offered at the 2 pm performance on Saturday, October 17.
