Q&A + Autographs
Immediately following each performance, select actors from the show will answer questions from the audience and then sign autographs. The Q&A occurs on stage and children are encouraged to ask questions. The autograph session occurs on the mezzanine. Blank autograph cards are distributed to each child upon arrival. In addition, the actors are always happy to sign books or other show items upon request.
Interactive Audience Activities
A variety of fun, thought-provoking activities are planned for the season. Children will enjoy lobby activities, photo opportunities, community art projects, and more! Each Insight activity will highlight a theme associated with one of our shows and will be offered free of charge. Insight activities will be announced at least two weeks before each show opening on the web site. Information will also be available on our show e-newsletters, postcards, and Facebook page.
“Going to The Rose” Guides
A “Going to The Rose” Guide is emailed out before each show. The Guide contains a story synopsis, character information, and helpful information about the show’s content. In addition, it also offers show-related discussion ideas and a list of post-show activities that you can do at home.
Member-Only Backstage Tours
Members are invited to go behind the scenes with a professionally-guided tour! View the show’s sets and props, learn about the stage, and talk with an actor from the show.
Free booster seats are available compliments of Target. The seats are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis in the lobby. A photo ID is required as deposit.
Are you worried your child might make a fuss during the show? Don’t be. Simply exit the main auditorium and head to the “cry room.” This noise-proof room is located just off the lobby and offers a television monitor for viewing the show.
Open vs. Reserved Seating
The Rose offers open seating at its seven regular season shows and reserved seating at its holiday show and summer musical. Open seating means there are no seat reservations, and patrons are free to sit where they choose. The lobby opens 45 minutes prior to show; the auditorium 15 minutes prior to show. Seat selection is made on a first come, first serve basis.
To select your reserved seats for the holiday show and summer musical, please call the Box Office at (402) 345-4849. A map showing the view from each section is available online. If you don’t reserve seats at the time of purchase, the best available seats will be assigned to you.
Books and souvenir items related to each show title are available for purchase in the lobby before most performance. The boutique is sponsored by The Rose Guild and all proceeds benefit Rose programming.
Concessions + Intermission
Cookies, soda, and bottled water are available for purchase during the intermissions of The Rose’s holiday show and summer musical. All items must be consumed in the lobby. The Rose’s seven regular season shows do not feature intermissions or concessions.
