Teen Volunteer
Team
WHAT'S THE TEEN VOLUNTEER TEAM (TVT)? The TVT is a group of teens who volunteer their time in the technical and educational aspects of The Rose Theater. These teens run light boards, paint scenery, help with props and costumes, assist in teaching classes and so much more! The TVT gives teens the opportunity to swap their volunteered hours for free stuff like tickets, classes and even half off the Josh Brockington Theater Camp. But it's not all work and no play! The TVT also gives teens the opportunity to mix and mingle with other teens who are interested in theater, and to learn a wide array of theater skills from professionals. The best part is, it's all on your time. So you decide when you can give your time. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS First, contact Suzanne Withem to get a registration packet. Then you'll contact the professionals in the areas you're interested in volunteering. You'll set up your time, and when you're finished, you'll turn in your record sheets in exchange for FREE STUFF!! A TEEN VOLUNTEER UPDATE! Hey Teens! Just a TVT Update! In our first year we have 43 members signed up for the Team and 13 active members! So far we've racked up over 423 hours in our Costume Rental Shop, publicity, and even running the light board for productions. Many of you have exchanged your hours for free tickets and classes, and even the Josh Brockington Theater camp. TVT Members, don't forget to keep turning in your record of hours to swap for free stuff! AND THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO DO! INTERESTED? Contact Suzanne Withem (TVT Coordinator) at 502-4647. |
