Sign up For a Class Today!

The Rose Theater has many great classes and camps available for children in the metro area. Classes starting July 18 all the way through August 8 have openings for students seeking theatrical opportunities unlike any other, all while have a lot of fun!

Welcome to Disney Jr. starts July 18 and runs through July 22. It is for ages 4-6 and runs Monday through Friday from 9-11 am. We will use lots of pretend play and creativity to explore the Mickey Mouse Club House, Sofia The First, Handy Manny and Jake & The Neverland Pirates.

It’s a wonderful chance to be creative, act out stories and meet new friends! Says Education Coordinator, Deprecia Wright.

There is also still availability in the Autism Sensory-Friendly class for children on the autism spectrum. Create Your Own Play: Exploring Color starts August 1 and goes till August 5, Monday through Friday and is for children ages 8-18. We will work on our acting and improvisation skills as we make up a play of our very own. We’ll use our acting tools to explore different moods, emotions and objects associated with all the colors of the rainbow. Then, we’ll create and tell stories of these colors and all the different places they are found.

Have a young Jedi Knight in training? We have the class for you! Star Wars starts July 18 and goes till July 22. The class is for ages 6-9 and run Monday through Friday from 1-4 pm. We will create our own Jedi Knight characters and take Jedi Knight Academy courses on using The Force, light saber techniques and more! Will you be ready for the next attack by the Dark Side? If you are looking for some end of the summer fun before school starts, look no further. So Random! All Day Sketch Comedy Fun starts August 8 and runs through August 12 from 9 am to 4 pm for ages 8-12. This class is for fans of So Random! Saturday Night Live and Mad TV. We will work on improvisational acting and build an ensemble, using silly games like Superheroes, Party Quirks or Freeze Frame.

There are still many classes with availability just like these. The week of July 25, Young Directors will study the job of the director as Acting for the Stage, Film and Television for both kids and teens studies a variety of acting methods. Also this week, Lion King Kids! will be offered and we will sing, dance and act the unforgettable story of Pride Rock.  Fairy Tale Adventures, Percy Jackson, Whose Line, Intermediate Jazz/Tap Intensive and Advanced Jazz/ Tap Intensive still have openings for August 1 through August 5. Frog & Toad will take place August 8-12. We will design our own woodland friends to join in the fun on our next excursion.
