Lord of the Rings: Physical Theater and Mime

This summer conservatory will conquer the epic story of Lord of The Rings through Physical theater. Physical theatre puts emphasis on movement rather than dialogue. With the expression of ideas choreographed through movement, and so performers use very little or no dialogue at all. Conservatory will use this visual, visceral, ambitious theatre technique to tell the Lord of The Rings saga of a group of sometimes reluctant heroes who set forth to save their world from consummate evil. Our ensemble will tackle the role of Frodo, Gandolf, Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, Gollum and many more as they take on the daunting task, to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged. This class meets at The Rose Theater downtown, 2001 Farnam St. Sharing: June 23rd at 5:30 p.m. and June 24th at 5:30 p.m. at The Rose Theater
